“Craig’s professional experience and vast knowledge of the music industry makes it very easy to  learn how to write great music because he has a very unique teaching style.  He helps you learn what works best for your creativity and shows you how to improve. Every step of the way, I’ve been amazed at our progress together and how much I’ve grown since the beginning.  When your hard work is complete and receives a great review; it’s such an incredible feeling of accomplishment!  He makes learning interesting and so much fun.  It’s such an extraordinary experience to work with him!”

Jeff Payne…..

“Craig has made me not just a better guitarist but an actual (amateur) musician. Which for me is way different than just being a competent instrumentalist.

I understand stuff now that allows me to step into a variety of situations and hold my own.

Maybe only at the weekend warrior level (lol) but definitely no longer feel like I’m stuck on a plateau!”

Storn White….

“Craig’s influence has been transformative in my life. I was trying to learn guitar as an adult and lost in the subject matter. Craig taught me rhythm, chords, theory, and a zillion practical tips and techniques. All awesome but useless if he hadn’t also patiently, kindly, pulled me out of my shell and taught me how to be a musician. You will love making music with him!”

Lindsey Lutes….

“Anyone with the opportunity to work with Craig will walk away better for it. He’s not just an amazing musician, composer, and genuine human being..but he’s also a mentor and champion for you during the process. He helps your soul speak with beautiful artistry, as well as teaches you how to unlock your own talent. To work beside a musician of his caliber and accolades, with all his years of experience in the music industry and his travels and performances on stages across the globe..you won’t find this opportunity everyday.“

Peter Hanneforth…

"I have taken electric guitar lessons from Craig for several years now, and it has been a great experience. He brought me up from a basic chord player to a lead guitar level guitarist, where I can play solos across the entire fret board in any key. At some point in the process the guitar felt "unlocked" to me. I have since co-founded a Rock band playing small local venues with a mix of Classic Rock covers and originals. Craig is now helping me and my band writing and producing our own songs. Here is a great example of my first song which he co-wrote, fully produced and even sang:  Stars Are Aligning (youtube.com). He is frequently showing up at our gigs and sometimes even sits in for a song or two in support of our band. I have to say it was a blessing that our paths crossed, since it has changed my perspective and appreciation for music, and he made a dream come true! Not only is he a world-class multi-instrumental musician, creative producer and sensitive teacher but also an amazing person and friend. Thanks Craig!"

"I never thought I will have the opportunity to have an original song produced by someone with a high caliber in the music business like Craig. His mastery in song production and musicianship has elevated the song beyond my expectations! Craig has also been a wonderful mentor to my band, sharing his experiences and knowledge, in guiding us in our musical path. Craig's passion to help fellow musicians reflects in his work, his playing, and his great humility and kindness."

Richard Buskin….

A multi-instrumentalist with a producer’s ears, composer’s insight and historian's knowledge of popular music, Craig has major chops as not only a rock guitarist, but also as a mentor to exciting new talent. I'm always fired up by his appearances on my Beatles podcasts—analyzing and performing their songs’ vital components—because his expertise on the subject underscores his passion for the art that elevates our lives.

Jonathan Mathieu….

Craig is a fabulous musician and a very patient and effective teacher. When I started working with him three years ago, I was a complete newbie to the electric guitar. He very effectively leveraged my years of playing acoustic in ways that translated well and made learning fun. Thanks to Craig, my guitar playing has come a long way and I really look forward to our weekly sessions. He is a great guy, super knowledgeable and a lot of fun to work with.

Kelly Niess…

I have been taking guitar lessons now from Craig for a year and a half. I agree with what others have shared, working with Craig has been an amazing and life changing experience. Craig really takes his time with his students and he breaks things down in a fun way that is easy to understand, which has really helped me to expand my knowledge of the guitar and theory that has always been a mystery to me.

Craig has made invaluable suggestions such as learning the acoustic guitar as well, which helped me achieve some of my goals of learning to play guitar and sing, as well as improve my strumming and rhythm techniques.

Craig has zen like teaching style that immediately made me feel comfortable, so I could just focus on learning and improving my skill set.  Craig is generous, kind, patient, and his great sense of humor has allowed me to not take myself so seriously, so I can just have fun and enjoy the learning process. He is truly invested in helping his students to be successful and he has far surpassed my expectations in a guitar teacher/musical mentor. With his vast knowledge and many years of expertise in the music industry and his keen ability to really listen to his students, you will definitely be able achieve your musical goals!!”

Tamara & Majid Rostai….

“Our two boys, ages 14 and 17, take music lessons from Craig. Craig has been our sons’ guitar teacher for the past two years and we are very lucky to have him!

In addition to Guitar, our 17-year-old takes weekly scoring lessons with Craig to create soundtracks. They have created some amazing and professional level soundtracks for various movies, short films, and video games.  He always comes to the lessons prepared with multiple ideas tailored for each kid based on what they enjoy playing and learning. Taking lessons from Craig has been an invaluable experience for our boys, he has given them extraordinary confidence in their performances and musicality. We plan to continue our sons’ lessons from Craig in the years to come and to enjoy a lifetime of incredible guitar playing and music that’s been possible with his expertise, passion, and kindness.”

Mark Nelson….

“In 2017, I became the musical “guinea pig” for what is now a thriving “Your Musicality” business. At the time I was a struggling singer/songwriter/guitar player that had “a knack” for writing songs and could play a few chords. For some reason, Craig saw something special in my musical abilities (as he does in every one of his students). He truly believes that every person has music inside of them, and he possesses a sixth sense on how to bring that music to life. For some it may be songwriting, others guitar playing, others still, it may be orchestration, recording and production etc…The list of his skills is very long.

Craig has a brilliant ability to assess a budding musician’s energy and talents (often untapped) and crafting a musical path that is not only rewarding, but in my case, a life changing experience.  Since I have met Craig and practiced his customizable methods, I have grown from a guy strumming a few chords and writing a few songs, to a real “musical artist’ in my own right. He innately crafted a unique path to the songwriter, musician, recording artist, and band leader I am today.

None of this, I mean none of this…..happens without him.

And as a reward for the “guinea pig’ status, I have the distinct privilege of being not only his student and mentee, but his musical partner. Our mutual love and interest of music and “Connecting to Community through Live Music” has led our Marin based “Walking Mirrors” band to being one of the most successful and sought after local rock n roll bands in our area.

How many producers/musicians that have played at the most iconic stadiums and venues around the world would be so dedicated to their friends and their community to do such?

I know of one…. Craig Bartock, founder of Your Musicality.

Today, we have two albums released (Walking Mirrors self-titled album and Nothing Left for Gray), and our band Walking Mirrors play the major venues in our county and beyond, frequently to sold out crowds.

Craig and I have something very special. He is my musicality mentor, friend, and partner.

You see I am lucky. He walks with me, not in front of me.  He is a musicality sherpa…

If you get the chance, get lucky too, and take those steps with him…It is a life changer”

Mark Nelson, Lead Singer/Songwriter: Walking Mirrors
